Potala Palace

This palace was the Palace of Dalai Lama in Tibet. It has thousands of rooms and built in the later 18th century on top of the ancient structure. Tibet was a neighbor to Han Chinese in the ancient time and become part of China since 700 years ago. Today China has Han, Tibetan, Korean, Mongolian, Uygur, and other nationalities, 56 in total.

The palace is on top of the mountain and shows great mysteries to many tourists. The religion developed in Tibet is a branch of Buddhism but unfortunately a feudal system was developed in the early 18th century that Daila Lama became the "King" of the region. The concentrate power of religion and politics brought great bitterness to Tibetans since then.

British aggressors invaded China's Tibet twice in 1888 and 1903. It then tried to force China to let Tibet separate in 1903 and 1949. After that, it was American's turn that in 1949, 1950, 1957 and 1959, CIA had sent teams into Tibet planing for the rebellion from China.

There is a driving force behind the Tibet independent movement by America and the West. Many of these exile Tibet religion leaders had great difficulties in giving up their dream of the past feudal system and have been used to "Block China". It is the continuity of the anti-Chinese force since 1900 but with a new cover-up of "Human right" or Freedom of religions".

It is worth the trip to Tibet to find out today that after abolished the feudal system how the Tibetans live in harmony with the rest of the China, just like other 55 nationalities.
